Dear Journal
I have been sentenced for seven years transportation because I somthing worth 100 shillings but I was only trying to sell it and buy food to feed me and my family. I am only 19 but I wanted to save my family. My job was a miller but I didn't get paid much. The big heavy irons that I had on me were very cold,heavy and sharp and I have got bad cuts all over me. I had a child baptism on the 9th of march. I thought I was going to be hanged because of what I stole. But I am still very scared about going to New South Wales because I don't know what kind of things or creatures are there. I will miss my family very much and I'm upset. I don't know what my life will be like and I should have never stolen.
