I have being living in an old street, it is muddy and smelly but I met some friends. my job is a chimney sweep, i get 3 shillings. my life is hard living by myself. There are lot of shops and there are 3 beer shops and lot of people are drunk . I feel sad because I miss my family.

The story of my life

My name is William Cole and I am 24 years of age and I am a mudlark,
I get payed 8-10 shillings each month.
My mother Elizabeth and my father Peter were killed in a factory accident and both my brothers
Benjamen and Joshua were hanged at the age of 35 and 27 for stealing 3 fish and a loaf of bread.
I sometimes will have to steal a fish or to for myself to servive but I think I will eventually be caught
by the runners.I feel alone in this life and I would like someone to be with.

Sometimes we all pick flowers to sell and make some money. We live near a dump on Brick Lane with only cardboard boxes to keep us warm. It smells like dead rats and dried up mud. My Sister and i have finished mudlarking for the day. We are going down Brick Lane near the lonley dump to our boxes for the night. Tonight i feel tired ,lonley and hungry.
